It depends on what you are saying:
We use FOR:
-to indicate purpose of an object
-when there is person who receives the action of the verb
-with words like too and enough to specifiy a person
-to indicate "in view of"
-to express the duration of an action
We use TO:
-to indicate purpose of people or any living thing
-to refer to destination, in the direction of
-when we have a verb that needs the direct object (it) + the person
-to compare
-to describe a person’s behaviour towards someone else (usually with adjectives)
Be careful…some adjectives are used with specific prepositions!
Vocabulary used in this episode
- I’m a very a chilly person: friolento/a
- I need to be wearing like 30 layers of clothes in order to survive: necesito llevar como 30 capas de ropa para sobrevivir
- Not to be used to cold weather: no estar acostumbrado al clima frío

Me parece que el uso de "to" y "for" es algo que confunde a muchos. Y como tú lo has dicho, explicar su uso no es tan fácil, pero las fotografías que has incluido me serán de mucha ayuda.
